My personal experience

Growing up, I was bullied not just for who I was, but for the colour of my skin. The racist comments, the exclusion, the subtle looks they chipped away at my confidence and made me question my worth.

I carried that pain for a long time. I remember feeling invisible, convinced that silence was safer than speaking out. But silence didn’t protect me it only gave the bullying more space to grow.

It took years, reflection, and support from people who saw my value to rebuild my self-esteem. And that’s why this campaign means so much to me because I know what it feels like to believe you don’t belong. And I also know how powerful it is when someone stands beside you and reminds you that you do.

What “Power for Good” Really Means?

Recognise Your Influence

You have more power than you think. Every word, every post, every action can either hurt or heal. Choose the kind that heals.

Encourage Action

If you see someone being bullied online or in real life don’t scroll past. Speak up. Show kindness. Check in. You never know how much that one moment could mean to someone.

Create a Ripple Effect

Kindness travels. One act of courage can inspire another and suddenly, a small wave becomes a movement. That’s how we change the culture.

Promote Empathy and Respect

We all have different stories, backgrounds, and identities and that’s what makes us powerful. When we lead with empathy, bullying loses its grip.

Your Challenge This Anti-Bullying Week

Let’s make this more than a hashtag. Let’s make it a movement.

Here’s how you can use your Power for Good:

•Be the person who speaks up when others stay silent.

•Use social media to spread positivity, not pain.

•Celebrate diversity your culture, your voice, your story matter.

•Reach out to someone who might be struggling.

No act is too small. You never know who’s watching and finding courage through your example.

Final Thoughts

Being bullied once made me feel powerless.

But now, I realise my voice is my power.

And when we come together, that power multiplies.

This Anti-Bullying Week, let’s rise above hate, racism, and judgment. Let’s use our voices, our platforms, and our hearts for good.

Because when we walk in value we remind others to do the same.

Your voice is power.

Your kindness is strength.

Your actions create change. 💙
