Partnership for Young London (PYL) has proudly hosted the Pan‑London Children in Care Council (CiCC) on behalf of the City of London and the Association of London Directors of Children’s Services (ALDCS) for the last five years.

Our Care‑Experienced Development Leads have coordinated this programme, bringing their lived experience into every stage of design and delivery. Through strategic partnerships, creative engagement, and ongoing advocacy, we have continued working to influence and drive system change across London.

This piece of research, along with the accompanying video, has been co‑created with the Pan‑London CiCC. Our shared aim has been to ensure that the voices of care experienced young people meaningfully shape both the approach and the recommendations for developing future services.

Accessing Care Film

This film, produced by Pan London Children In Care Council and Aran Knowles, was commissioned by NHS North East London ICB.

This short film gives us an insight on the perspectives of young care-experienced Londoners and the struggles of accessing healthcare. We look at the challenges and explore examples of good practice in place across North East London.

A huge thank you everyone involved for their participation in this project!

I was searching online for private gynaecology options in London and came across this clinic by chance. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but the information here felt straightforward to understand, which made it stand out compared to a lot of other medical pages I’ve seen. It didn’t feel overwhelming or overly technical, just clear about the kinds of women’s health concerns they deal with and how they support patients privately. I’m still exploring my options, but this definitely feels like a place I’d consider contacting if I wanted quicker, more personal care without the usual long waiting times. thelunaclinic.com
