The Young Residents in Partnership project has been developing over the last three years aiming to address the need for youth voice in the UK housing sector. The Phase 1 peer research team (2023-2024) focused on collecting data with young residents and colleagues within Housing Associations, and the Phase 2 peer research team (2024-2026) are now focused on how to action the recommendations and work with colleagues from MTVH, Hyde and Clarion on the implementation of these.
This Impact Report 2024-25 & Video highlight the work of the peer research team over the last year and a half, where they have been developing six priority recommendations and collaborating with colleagues in Housing Associations to action these and creating a range of outputs on their findings.

The Impact Report 2024-25 shows how the six peer researchers have been invited to conferences, summits and panels as well as how the team has organised and hosted two significant events with senior leaders from the housing sector.
We have gathered the blogs written by peer researchers, digital collages and wider impact into this report, including three key learnings from evaluating our project:
Collaborative funding (between housing associations)
Peer research as an approach (for youth voice and mechanism for change)
Aligning funding with long-term goals (compared to short-term engagement)
Both the report and the video were co-produced by the peer research team without prior knowledge of how to write a report, create a storyboard or direct and edit videos. We had to learn from scratch!
Safe to say we are proud of these outputs and especially the video should give a good insight into how we work as a team and is also an invite to colleagues working in the housing sector – from MTVH, Hyde and Clarion in particular – to reach out to us!
