Youth Work Apprenticeship Degree Discussion

We are hosting a session regarding a new youth work degree apprenticeship which St Mary’s University, Twickenham are developing. This is still in the design stage, but they are considering an innovative approach to the delivery model. Rather than working with large cohorts, they aim to deliver the apprenticeship in small, localised cohorts, comprising roughly 12-15 individuals, including one in the London area, and more if there is interest.

The plan is for the apprenticeship training to be facilitated by St Mary’s University, working in collaboration with local youth work employers, trainers, mentors, and youth work professionals to support the development of qualified youth work practice. 

We we will be joined by Simon Frost, who is working with St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and is leading the workforce development aspect of the apprenticeship.
