Young Londoner's Fund - Working with traumatic bereavement during COVID-19

This session will focus on engaging with children, young people and their families around loss and bereavement during the COVID-19 pandemic. The current crisis has significantly impacted on how we memorialise, pay tribute to and remember those who have died and the training will concentrate on the following:

• Understanding traumatic bereavement and loss
• Understanding the impact of COVID-19 on experiences of loss
• Trauma informed practice accounting for culture and context
• Working with children and young people
• Working with families
• Creative ideas for therapeutic engagement
• Planning for post COVID-19: memorialisation and remembering
• Early intervention and support
• Strategies for self-care
