About the Event
Minority within the minority: Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people and COVID-19
Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people often exist on the margins of society. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated existing inequalities and thrown up several new ones, if these are not addressed then it risks setting these young people back considerably in education and employment. The youth sector has a really big role to play in the covid recovery strategy, and the potential to bridge some of these gaps for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people. This event is about sharing this information and exploring how non Gypsy, Roma and Traveller focused youth services can widen their existing and future provision offers (where applicable) to ensure that they are reaching these young people.
