About the Event

As part of the work underway for the New Deal for Young People, City Hall has commissioned The Young Londoners Research Programme which is funding and training young people, their youth or support workers and their youth organisations to investigate the question: ‘How can we help young people in need of support who don’t access youth activities to take up London’s youth offer?’

We would like to invite you to the launch of the programme which is taking place at City Hall on the 9th August from 3-6pm. The Young Researchers and Youth Groups will present their projects and invite you to discuss how the findings of Youth-Led research can be used to shape future policy and practice across London. This project is being delivered by Partnership for Young London, Rocket Science and Young Harrow Foundation and the groups who have received the grants are:

  1. Chicken Shed
  2. Haringey Gold
  3. The Avenues Youth Project
  4. The Albany – Sounds Like Chaos
  5. London Borough of Merton and  Achieving For Children
  6. Resources for Autism
  7. Dragon Hall – Soap Box
  8. Young Hammersmith and Fulham  Foundation
  9. Highbury Roundhouse Youth and  Community Project

We will be forwarding a short brief on each of the research projects, an agenda for the afternoon within a few weeks, and a full briefing about this funding programme can be downloaded here
