About the Event
As part of a National Community Lotteries project, Partnership for Young London, Youth Focus North East and Youth Focus North West would like to invite you to a session looking at Young People’s Identities. This session will look at the research behind young people’s identifies, share regional perspectives on the work being developed in each region in partnership with young people and explore the youth sector response. We are working with the University of Liverpool on this work and below is a snap shot of the narrative collated by Tom Loughran
‘The current generation of young people in the UK represent an increasingly diverse group comprising a wider range of intersecting identities than ever before. Significant political events such as Covid-19, Black Lives Matter, Brexit, austerity and devolution (both regional and national) have arguably contributed to making young people’s identities an increasingly relevant, sensitive and politically contentious issue’
The session will explore the research, share regional practice and create a space for regional collaboration and learning.
