About the Event

Drawing from Dr Lisa Cherry's Triad of Knowledge© and her research on care experience, school exclusion and belonging, this session offers a clear, practice‑grounded introduction to using language that supports emotional safety and identity development while increasing relational trust for care‑experienced children and children with a social worker and the adult that they will become.

We will explore how language interacts with trauma, power and belonging and look at language that heals and promotes agency, clarity and compassion. We will focus on how to communicate in ways that reduce shame, avoid deficit narratives and strengthen connection.
