Name: Samuel Omokan
Why did you want to join the PYL youth board?
I joined the youth board to be a part of something bigger than myself. Being able to have the opportunity to affect change has always been important to me. Growing up I didn’t utilise all the opportunities around me and I’m learning to grab a hold of as many as I can.
What would you like to change about the lives of young people in London?
I want all young people in London to be full of hope and be big dreamers. We are so blessed in many ways but sometimes we have been conditioned not to think big because some people can not understand or see the vision
What’s the most interesting thing you’ve read or seen this week?
I read an article a few days ago in the FT Weekend Magazine and it was talking about Facebook and how it’s strategy of rapid expansion and growth has become an issue.
What was the last photo you took?
I was on the Malvern Hills in Herefordshire as part of a weekend retreat. It was very relaxing and peaceful.
Something you are proud of?
I read 23 books last year. I’m going to read 30 this year.
