Resources for Practitioners and Young People
This was established across the youth sector and aims to hosts a range of resources around strategic leadership for the charity sector. This includes planning toolkits, income diversification information, risk registers, governance, insolvency support resources, leadership and management resources, redundancy information, and fact sheets on mergers and closures. These materials are freely downloadable.
Working across the UK youth sector to develop shared approaches to learning, evaluation and continuous improvement. Access to resources on impact and evaluation as well as specialist networks and training sessions.
Resources for the youth sector, youth work training, policy and practice guidance. They have developed a hub of resources around sustainability as well as COVID19 specific resources. They also have established a bank of research that has been completed with young people over the last few years.
UK Youth is a youth sector membership body that provides a range of services across the youth sector including funding, toolkits, networks and resources to support groups. They also campaign for the youth sector and for young people’s services.

London Youth is a youth sector membership organisation. They provide services such as training, networks, quality assurance, small grants and 121 support for organisations working with young people across the capital. Their offer also includes a number of high-quality programmes on topics such as sports, health and wellbeing, employability, social action, youth leadership and arts and culture. ACEVO is a membership body for civil society leaders they provide a range of services and resources to support the sector including coaching, mentoring and training.
Institute for Voluntary Action Research provides research, peer support and learning resources for the Voluntary and Community Sector. Resources and information to strengthen the sector can be located here
Reach provide pro bono support for the charity sector on a range of areas such as marketing and communications, data and insight, HR, Data and Insight, financial planning, governance.
Offer pro bono management support to charities, offering mentoring, resources, por bono consultancy, events and training. They have a free HR service, practical management tools on planning, financial management, fundraising and governance.
London Plus offers support and networking opportunities for the voluntary and community sector across London. They have a range of resources on offer, support networks across London and take a role in championing London’s Civil Society across regional policy and practice.
London Funders is a network of funders from all sectors connecting and cooperating to help London’s Communities to live better lives. They have a range of seminars, reports and resources that can be accessed by groups
East London Business Alliance brings in skills and expertise from the private sector to help build the capacity of the voluntary and community sector. They match volunteers with the charity sector to provide targeted support on sustainability.
Young People’s Foundations Trust
John Lyons Charity supports Young People’s Foundations across London and the UK, they provide training and support to support the youth sector in those localities.
