Consultations

Latest news - please help

If you work with young people and are sometimes asked by them about careers or progression advice, even though you're a non-specialist (you're a youth worker or a learning mentor for example), then please help us by completing our short survey. There are only five questions, and it will only take about 10-15 minutes to complete, but it will help us in our work to establish what good quality careers information, advice and guidance should look like for all young people wherever they access it across London.

How we consult

PYL responds to consultations on behalf of its members, giving a unique pan-London perspective that includes the views of all the sectors that our members represent. We draft a response and circulate it to members for comment, then collate their responses into the draft and submit it. We also ask our members to send us their own organisation's response for inclusion within ours. Look out for the next consultation we respond to - we'll notify you through the News section of this site, as well as through the weekly update, as usual.

As part of our commitment to improving services for young people in London, we submitted responses to the following regional and national consultations in the last year:

  • Big Lottery Big Thinking consultation on its priorities Jan 09
  • The London CAF Protocol (Government Office for London) Jan 09
  • Time for Action, Dec 08
  • State of London Debate, July 08
  • Call for Evidence - Youth Sector Support Arrangements – DCSF April 08

and signed a petition on access to services, facilities and positive activities, initiated by APYCO, May 08.
