Building effectiveness and resilience in times of change and challenge

Background:
Often our work with children and young people can be tough and demanding  but we are also working in a climate of unprecedented change. As well as a duty to our clients and  the people we work with we also have a duty of care towards ourselves. If we neglect this it can have a negative effect on the service we deliver. How do we;
- build our effectiveness and resilience
- remain calm and objective in stressful situations
- sustain our energy and effectiveness 
this one day workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to reflect on practical solutions and strategies to be effective in their  work  with children and young people.

Target Group
This one day workshop is aimed at a wide range of practitioners and managers who work with children and young people in a variety of contexts in both statuatory and community organisations. One of the benefits of the day will be the diverse mix of those attending and the opportunity to learn from and share experience with others.

Course Content
- We will  focus will be practical and interactive exercises  to explore management of oneself  focusing  of stress and time  management. 

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop participants will have explored
- The concept of stress and how it impacts on your work
- How to assess your triggers that effect your stress levels and to change your working practices that create high levels of stress
- Explore a range of strategies including time management
- Identify your support mechanisms  so as to manage the stressful environment you work in 
- Providing an opportunity to share what works and network with colleagues

Cost: £ 98 per person (no VAT charged)
