Stop Loan Sharks Training

A one day training course, which aims to support practitioners to raise awareness of the issues of illegal money lending, and to prevent young people from using Illegal Money Lenders, more commonly known as Loan Sharks.
Full programme Training Course outcomes:
- Increased awareness of the dangers of using loan sharks and how to report loan sharks
- Understanding the psychology of young people and money
- Skills to engage young people in financial matters
- Helping young people make the most of their money & manage debt
Date: Friday 3rd November 2017 – one day training
Time: 9.30 am to 4.30pm
Venue: Training Room, North wing, Guildhall EC2V 7HH
Cost: Free
Trainer: Developing Youth Practice and hosted by Partnership for Young London funded by the Illegal Money Lending Team who run the Stop Loan Sharks Campaign
Booking: This training is free to attend; substitute delegates will be accepted at any time. Initially we can only allocate one place per organisation. To book a place contact Lucy.Sandford@cityoflondon.gov.uk
Refreshments: Tea and coffee will be provided. However we are unable to provide lunch. There is an onsite café (cash only) as well as numerous outlets nearby.

This course is not accredited however; we can provide a certificate of attendance for CPD continuing professional development purposes, please contact Lucy Sandford.
